Bought it in China? We’ll bring it to your door in Singapore.

No. The figure on your quote covers receiving and sorting at our hub, trucking to the port, port charges and document fees, the freight, the customs declaration and import permit, and delivery to your address in Singapore. The only thing added is what Singapore Customs charges: GST at 9% of the import value, and duty on the few goods that carry it, passed on at cost. Pickup from your supplier, storage past the free days and special handling such as stairs are optional, and quoted before anything moves.

It is worked out from our published rates and the volume or weight you enter, so if those are right, it is the figure we confirm. Our team checks the goods, the measurements and the service, then sends the confirmed quote in writing within a few hours; if anything differs, it says what and why. Nothing is booked and nothing is payable until you accept it. GST and any duty are on top.

By volume, in cubic metres (CBM). One CBM is a box one metre on each side. There is a minimum charge, because a small shipment still occupies a slot on the vessel and still needs a permit lodged. Heavy cargo is charged on weight instead, at 500 kg per CBM: 1,000 kg counts as 2 CBM.

Air freight is charged on the greater of two numbers: the actual gross weight in kilograms, and the volumetric weight, which is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6000. Light, bulky cargo is charged on volume; dense cargo is charged on actual weight. Our calculator on the Pricing page works both out for you.

Yes — 9% of the import value, which is the cost of the goods plus freight and insurance. We lodge the import permit, and the GST is payable together with the freight when your cargo reaches Singapore, before delivery. It applies whether or not you are GST-registered. We declare under our own company, so the permit is in our name. If your company is GST-registered and wants to claim the GST back, we can name your company as the importer on the permit instead, for a small charge shown on our Pricing page.

Your supplier delivers to our Foshan hub (air cargo: our Shenzhen warehouse) — that is what the published rate assumes. Give them the address and they will handle it; most suppliers send to forwarders every week. We receive the cargo, count every carton against your packing list, and, at our Foshan hub, hold it free for five days while your other suppliers arrive. If a supplier genuinely cannot deliver, ask us and we will quote collection as a separate line on your quote.

Tell us straight away, and photograph the cartons before you unpack any further. Cargo is covered in transit at its declared invoice value: anything missing is compensated in full, and damage is assessed case by case on the arrival photographs, the packing list and the condition of the outer cartons. The value you declare on your commercial invoice is the figure a claim is settled on, so declare it truthfully.
