Four things people ask before their first air shipment.
What is chargeable weight?
The greater of two numbers: actual gross weight, and volumetric weight, which is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6000. Light, bulky cargo is charged on volume. The calculator above works out both.
Can you fly batteries?
Often, yes — with the right declaration, an MSDS and a UN38.3 test report, and at the published sensitive-goods rate rather than the general one. Tell us before your supplier ships them and we will tell you what it takes.
How fast is it, really?
Three to five days from departure to your door, customs clearance included. Cargo at our hub on a working day leaves the next working day.
Is air worth it over sea?
Usually when the goods are small and dense, or when a fortnight at sea costs you more than the freight does. Put your cartons into the calculator above and compare the two figures.
