China domestic delivery, arranged from wherever you are
China's delivery networks work well, but only from the inside. They need a Chinese phone number, a Chinese payment account and someone who can talk to the driver. If you buy from China but are not there, whether you are in London, Dubai, Sydney or Singapore, we are that someone: your China domestic logistics, run from one message. You tell us in English what needs to go where; we arrange it in Chinese and keep you posted.
| Trip | For example |
|---|---|
| Supplier → your freight forwarder | A factory in Yiwu that will not deliver: we collect the cartons and take them to your forwarder's warehouse in Shenzhen or Ningbo |
| Supplier → an inspection company | Goods taken to a third-party inspection before they are shipped abroad |
| Factory → factory | Samples from a workshop in Dongguan to a factory in Ningbo |
| To a buyer, a shop or a trade fair | Stock delivered to a customer in Chengdu, or display goods to a stand at the Canton Fair |
| Supplier → our hub, then to Singapore | Cartons collected for our Foshan hub (sea) or Shenzhen warehouse (air) and shipped to Singapore with our freight |
| Our hub → an address in China | A wrong item going back to the seller after our check at the hub |
| Your company's regular deliveries | A factory in Dongguan sending stock to distributors across Guangdong every week, on a business account |
We deliver anywhere in mainland China, including remote regions such as Xinjiang and Tibet, where most shops' free delivery stops.
Express, shared truck, whole truck or van
We choose the method from the size, the weight and the distance, and the quote says which one it is. If you would rather have a particular one, say so on the form.
| Method | Suits |
|---|---|
| Express parcel (快递, domestic courier) | Cartons one person can carry, and samples |
| Shared truck (零担, LTL) | Pallets and loads too heavy for express, sharing a truck with other freight |
| Whole truck (整车, FTL) | A full factory load, or goods that should not change trucks on the way |
| Same-city van (同城货运) | Moves inside one city, often the same day |
How each method is priced, how big the trucks are and how to write a Chinese address are in our guide to shipping goods within China.
Moving goods inside China?
Tell us where from, where to and what it is. We reply in English with a price within a few hours, 9:00am to 6:00pm Singapore time (GMT+8), every day.
Pickup and delivery in every Chinese city
Most requests start in China's manufacturing regions, but the other end can be anywhere in mainland China, from a port warehouse on the coast to a shop in Urumqi. These are the places goods are most often collected from:
| Region | Cities | Often moving |
|---|---|---|
| Guangdong | Guangzhou (广州), Shenzhen (深圳), Dongguan (东莞), Foshan (佛山), Zhongshan (中山) | Electronics, furniture, lighting, clothing |
| Zhejiang | Yiwu (义乌), Ningbo (宁波), Hangzhou (杭州), Wenzhou (温州) | Small commodities, homeware, shoes, hardware |
| Shanghai and Jiangsu | Shanghai (上海), Suzhou (苏州), Wuxi (无锡), Changzhou (常州) | Machinery, parts, textiles |
| Fujian | Xiamen (厦门), Quanzhou (泉州), Fuzhou (福州) | Sportswear, stone, ceramics |
| North China | Beijing (北京), Tianjin (天津), Qingdao (青岛) | Equipment, tyres, food packaging |
| Inland | Chengdu (成都), Chongqing (重庆), Wuhan (武汉), Zhengzhou (郑州), Xi'an (西安) | Stock for buyers and shops across the west and centre |
Typical trips: cartons from Yiwu to a forwarder in Ningbo or Shenzhen, furniture from Foshan to a buyer in Shanghai, samples from Dongguan to an inspection in Guangzhou, or display goods to the Canton Fair. If your city is not listed, it is still covered: send the addresses and we quote the trip.
Supplier pickup to your forwarder, or to our hub
Most suppliers deliver inside China themselves, and on 1688 and Taobao that delivery is often free (包邮), so ask them first. A pickup is worth booking when the supplier will not deliver, when they would send heavy goods to a freight depot for someone to collect instead of to the warehouse door, or when several suppliers need collecting on the same day and taking to one place.
Give us your forwarder's warehouse address and your shipping mark or booking reference, and we book the delivery for their receiving hours. It can be any forwarder, shipping to any country. Agreeing who delivers to whom is easier with the Incoterms guide for buying from China.
Shipping to Singapore with us?
Then the pickup comes to our own hub: sea cargo to Foshan, where goods collected on different days can wait 5 days free, and air cargo to Shenzhen. The pickup goes on the same bill as the freight, paid when your cargo reaches Singapore, before we deliver it, by PayNow or bank transfer. Work out the freight with an instant quote, send the pickup on the form below, and we put the two on one confirmed quote. The rest of that journey is in the complete guide to shipping from China to Singapore.
Deliveries that stay in China
Plenty of goods never leave China: samples sent between factories, stock moved to a buyer or a trade fair, a return to a seller. Give us both addresses and what is moving. We book the carrier, agree the pickup time with the sender and follow the goods until they are signed for.
- Remote regions cost more and take longer. Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai and Inner Mongolia are outside most free-delivery areas, and fewer trucks run there. We tell you the expected time with the price.
- Someone has to sign. Every carrier needs the receiver's name and a Chinese mobile number at the delivery address.
- Tell us about the site. Stairs, a narrow lane or no loading bay change which truck can come. Tell us beforehand and any extra handling goes on the quote as its own line.
Business accounts for companies and factories in China
Many companies in China book every delivery one at a time, on a van app or with whichever courier is free, and pay the going rate for each trip. If your business sends goods every week, to customers, shops, a warehouse or another factory, ask us for a business account instead.
- Many orders in one go. Send the week's deliveries together, as a list or a spreadsheet, instead of booking each one.
- Lower rates, one consolidated price. We plan the orders together, combine trips where the routes allow it, and price the batch as a whole, so a business account pays less than the same trips booked one by one.
- Monthly billing and 发票. Pay once a month (月结) instead of before each pickup, with Chinese tax invoices (发票) issued for your accounts.
- One account, one contact. Your team books through your company's Shiplet account, and one person here follows every order, in Chinese.
- Set up on request. Each account is arranged around your routes and volumes, and paid in renminbi or Singapore dollars.
To ask for one, tick "Business account" on the delivery request form and tell us roughly how many deliveries you send, from where and to where, or WhatsApp +65 8162 1037.
What it costs and how you pay
There is no fixed rate: a carton across town and a truck to Urumqi have little in common. You get a price for your trip within a few hours of sending the form, in the currency you pick on it: US dollars, euros, Singapore dollars or renminbi. Nothing is booked until you accept it.
| What | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Distance | Within one province, across the country, or to a remote region |
| Size and weight | Express goes by weight, shared trucks by weight or volume, a whole truck by its size; work out the volume with the CBM calculator |
| Speed | Express is the quickest between cities; a whole truck goes direct, with no sorting on the way |
| Handling | Stairs, no loading bay, a tail-lift, or goods that must stay upright |
| Extra services | A wooden frame, pallet, wooden crate or stretch wrap; packing materials are charged extra |
Paying
- A delivery inside China: paid before pickup (business accounts can be billed monthly), by card or PayPal from anywhere, in Singapore dollars by PayNow or bank transfer, or in renminbi by Alipay, WeChat Pay or a Chinese bank transfer.
- A pickup to our hub for shipping to Singapore: on the freight bill, paid when your cargo reaches Singapore, before we deliver it, by PayNow or bank transfer.
Cover
Every shipment is insured by our delivery partners in China, and we photograph the goods before and after loading, so there is a record if anything is lost or damaged. For valuable goods, you can also ask for declared-value cover (保价), which goes on the quote as its own line.
Batteries, liquids and powders
Parcels in China are screened, and goods with lithium batteries, liquids, powders, aerosols or strong magnets are refused by some carriers and accepted by others. Tell us before the pickup and we look for one that takes them. If the goods are then exported, the destination country's rules apply too; for Singapore, read our restricted goods guide and contact us before shipping.
