Why Pinduoduo is hard to use from Singapore
Pinduoduo (拼多多) is one of China's biggest shopping apps, with very low prices on household goods, furniture and everyday items. It is made for shoppers in mainland China, and ordering from Singapore runs into four problems:
- Sellers only ship to Chinese addresses; a Singapore address isn't accepted at checkout.
- Paying needs a Chinese payment account.
- The listings, the options and the after-sales requests are all in Chinese.
- Returns have to start from an address in China, within the return window.
Temu belongs to the same group and does sell to Singapore, but it is a separate shop with its own range. When what you want is on Pinduoduo, we buy it for you, take delivery at our hub in China and ship it on. Taobao, JD and the other platforms are covered on our main buying service page.

Which Pinduoduo orders are worth shipping
Our freight is charged by volume, with a 1 CBM minimum by sea, so it's the size of the order that decides whether this makes sense.
Big single pieces justify it on their own: a dining table, a wardrobe or a mattress is close to, or over, the minimum by itself. Small cheap things only work in quantity, such as 300 phone stands for a market stall or a year's worth of storage boxes for a rental flat. A 预售 item that ships in three weeks is best left out of a shipment that is otherwise ready. What doesn't work is a handful of small things: those go cheaper through the platforms' own small-parcel shipping.

Checking cheap goods before they ship
Sellers on Pinduoduo vary, and at these prices you want a look at the goods before they leave China. Each parcel is opened at our hub and checked for damage and for the wrong item or number. Where the listing has the seven-day return, the days are still running when we find a problem, and on 退货包运费 listings the seller pays to take it back. Receipt is only confirmed on Pinduoduo after we have looked.

Cheap gadgets are often battery-powered, and cleaning sprays and beauty products are aerosols or liquids. Many can still be shipped if we know before ordering. Check restricted goods and contact us before shipping anything you are unsure about.
GST on Pinduoduo orders
For customs, a Pinduoduo order record works as the invoice if it shows seller, item, quantity and price paid, and we add a packing list once a shipment has more than 5 different items. Singapore charges 9% GST on the CIF value, meaning goods, insurance and freight together; we pay it at clearance and it appears on your freight bill. By sea there is no low-value exemption; by air, shipments under S$400 are exempt.
